Founder, Jonaki by Nasreen Zamir

Nasreen Zamir is the founder of Jonaki, described by bdnews24 as Bangladesh's first fine fragrance brand. She describes herself as a textile and surface designer who loves interior design, and she has worked as an interior designer for more than two decades, also leaving her creative mark on furniture and textile design.

Jonaki's signature fragrances take their inspiration from five white flowers of Bangladesh: dolonchapa, gondhoraj, shiuli, beli and hasnahena. After the success of its flagship store at the InterContinental Dhaka, Jonaki opened its second boutique at Centre Point in Uttara, and the brand now also offers make-up, skincare and hair care, all designed by Jonaki's in-house creative team.

In her own words, alongside interior and furniture design she chose to work with fully Bangladeshi lifestyle products, with the aim of building a strong and distinctive brand. She studied at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in Canada (1977–1980), where her activities included interior design and graphics.
